Evening at the San Diego Temple

On Sunday December 14, 2008 my mom, my sister Kristie, and Tiffany and myself went to the San Diego Temple to listen to a Christmas program that they have there. Every night until December 23rd The Temple has different stakes from San Diego performing every night. It was so much fun to go to the Temple and sit on the grounds and listen to christmas music. I just love this time of the year, and I love christmas music. So we really enjoyed ourselves.

5k Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis

On Saturday December 13, 2008 we participated in the 5k Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis. We did it with some family friends. We signed all of our kids up and they formed a team. Their team raised over $400.00 dollars for arthritis. We are very proud of them. We didn't know if Tiffany would be able to make the whole 3 miles, but Jeff and I decided we would carry her part of the way if we had to. We just thought this was very important, and we wanted her to do somthing for others. She was very excited about doing this. She started off strong. By mile 2 she started getting tired. We kept asking her if she wanted one of us to carry her, but she said no. She said " I am going to walk the whole way." She finished the race. She ran the last little bit to the finish line and did 3 miles in 1 hr 3 min and 46 seconds. We were so proud of her. It was such a fun experience. We are trying to teach Tiffany about doing things for others. She has such a caring and loving spirit. We feel so lucky that Heavenly Father picked us to be her parents. Jeff and I decided to make this 5k Jingle Bell Run/Walk a yearly tradition!!

Tiffany's Christmas Dance Recital

On Friday December 12, 2008 Tiffany performed in her Christmas Dance Recital. She just loves dancing. It is one of her most favorite things to do. She did so good. She remembered every step, and some of the other girls in her class were looking at her to see what they were supposed to do next. She was taking Jazz this session so she did her dance to the song "I Want Candy." She was shaking her hips and moving to the music. We are so proud of her!!

Camping trip to Mission Trails

On Friday Sept 26, 2008 we went camping to Mission Trails with some family friends. This was Tiffany's first camping trip. We had so much fun. We roasted hotdogs, marshmellows, and ate some good food. We went on a little hike at night and just relaxed. It was so fun to get out with some friends and hang out. Tiffany had so much fun. Mission Trails is really close to home, and it was nice for a first camping trip.

Tiffany's First Soccer Game

Tiffany had her very first soccer game on Saturday. We were wondering how she was going to do since she has never played before. She did so good. She loves soccer. She scored 2 goals. Their team name is The Little Mermaids. Her Uncle Brent spent last week after work teaching her how to stop the ball and to kick the ball. She also knows how to hit the ball with her head (thanks Uncle Brent.) It was so much fun watching her play. I can't believe how big she is getting. Time sure does fly.

A Day at the Doctor's

Tiffany went to the Doctor's yesterday for her 4 1/2 year check-up. She had a vision test and hearing test done. Both turned out normal. She is 42 inches tall and weighs 39 pounds. One more pound to go and she can sit in a booster seat in the car instead of a carseat. She is very excited about that. She thinks she is too big to be in a carseat. The poor little girl had to get a TB test done and 4 more vaccinations. She was so brave. She got to get 6 stickers from the nurse, and we then went to the mall to get a pretzel and a new toy. She was so good. I was so proud of her. The doctor said she is perfect and in perfect health. A clean bill of health. I feel so blessed to have a healthy and happy daughter.

A Little Bit of San Diego Fun

On Saturday August 30 we went to the SDSU Football game. We did a little bit of tailgating and then watched the first half of the game. Then it was on to Sea World for some more fun!! We got to see the fireworks, and Tiffany went on some new rides that they have there. We saw a couple of shows. It was so much fun. We love Sea World. We love spending time together as a family.

Our First Post!!

Hello!!

This is our first posting. We are very excited to be doing this. There is so much going on in our lives right now. Jeff has started coaching basketball again this season. Tiffany is starting preschool, and she is starting soccer on September 6. She is very excited about that. We are having so much fun just living life. We are so blessed.
